Trying to find a David Allen quote

As per my previous thread, I am using Horizons of focus to help my team stand back and look at our work.

I recently heard an analogy from David (either on a Podcast or in the "Ready for anything" audio book..... I know I was driving when I heard it!), where he talked about a team cutting through the undergrowth in a direction.

Someone climbed a ladder (or got up on a tower) and said they were cutting in the wrong direction. Someone else got higher up (in a helicopter) and said "you're in the wrong field!".

I'd like to use this but I'm sure David words it much better than I can! Can anyone find this quote?

You can check your playing history of your iPod or whatever you use to listen to audio while driving and thus narrow down which podcast it could have been.

I thought I was the last person on the planet Earth who uses iPod! ;-)
But my iPod is iPod Shuffle with no screen and no history... ;-)
