About leaving tabs open

Which is a bad habit.

Saw leo write in X places 'would have to check to be able exactly reference the exact quote'

That recommends - 'literally closing off all tabs which are not at task of hand.
# Leo is trying recommending select tabs -entirely things on your list manager

And myself tim will literally have maybe up to 30 tabs in one explorer up at any time .

Because of being addicted ?
-finding it pleasurable have certain hyperlinks up , left of for some reason - as if I felt or feel or think they are get

Voice - could give literal example of all hyper links up on my screen.

And descriptions of what they are - cos of OCD or not?

'I could title this a second post about leaving tabs open - trying to transition away from the classic 'loads tabs open' instant gratification? - anyone got tips?

@gtdstudente "

I close my browser and all its tabs at the end of the workday.
'I have never really been doing that up to now.

Q : Do you think I should try it? "

P.S. this - actaully links to the question , where you replied back in e-mail thread 'cos one of example habits might be leaving e-mail up -e.g. up in 1 tab and just click - which releases dopamine (to check - if any were incoming [while in a state of not in zone of "reading incoming e-mails yet" - you understand?

I can't really advise whether you should or should not copy me. Do you like leaving the tabs open? Does it help or hinder you? These are questions you have to answer for yourself.

Permission to interject

Closing tabs is a great standard . . . which is slowly coming along

Thank you very much sir

The thing that allows me to close tabs without worrying about it is the system I have in place. I keep project notes while I am working and can capture a URL if my commitments relating to a page are unclear. Closing tabs isn't the important thing. It is having a system that works.

probably prefer it?
Does it help or hinder you?
Not sure.
These are questions you have to answer for yourself.

What maybe im trying to say - is I would struggle personally to go straight to "not using - not closing tabs - because of fear?
not sure how to transition to not doing it lie yourself, same time have multiple or have idea - it could be "closing tabs" is a better habit for maybe 2 main reasons ?

That is excellent feedback. In that case, blindly following the advice to close all tabs because it is somehow better is not the correct solution. Getting to the root of the fear would be more helpful.

Do you know why you are afraid of closing the tabs?

The reason - or reasons I can think of right now
is
:
1 - I think or feel like the tabs which are open have a certain amount important information - should be acting on and if close them - then I might just then from the future (forget what I was using the hyperlink for - then never again come back to the concept or idea

Is one thing mainly to start with, there are more reasons

Ok, that is great feedback. I can relate to that because I have felt that way sometimes too. I think an unfortunate reality is that the information in tabs can be lost anyway. One way would be if the computer crashes but a more subtle way might be that they become difficult to look things up in if a large number of tabs are open.

If you are interested in addressing this fear, what would be an effective way for you to secure this information?
