ReMarkable2 - do you use it and how do you like it?

And now Remarkable has color for highlighting - anyone have it, yet?

Thinking it's too soon for me to upgrade, but I'll be looking for real use reviews and may put it on the Future list.
The reMarkable Paper Pro is slightly larger and heavier than the reMarkable 2. The writing experience feels closer to paper and the response of the ink contributes to this.

I'm enjoying the new model and have yet to create color components.
It is nice to view PDFs and eBooks with their color portions actually in color.

The one thing having both has freed me to do is to take the reMarkable 2 to places I would not have before. If it gets damaged, it won't be the end of the world (kind of like my previous AirPods now that I have a pair of AirPods4, I wear the old ones to listen to books in the hot tub now).

A professor at UMASS I follow got one and gave me his assessment here: https://sciences.social/@josh/113328983436597595
He really likes the backlighting for his use of the device.

Hope this helps,
Clayton

I am using the Kindle Scribe, which is coming quite close to the regular ReMarkable. Not the new one with color.

Love it for taking notes offline or collect thoughts without being distracted. Mostly, being able to send them to a mailbox afterwards allows me to keep the number of inboxes even. So I do not need to check an additional "Kindle Inbox folder" each day.

However, I love paper, too. The benefits is that it is quite accessible if you need it to start writing from scratch. Tools like the ReMarkable have the benefit that you can send copies of reference material to it (or even integrate with Google Drive afaik). So in your "Deep Focus" context you can access that reference files and process them.

Other benefits:
- You have all your literature with you
- Battery life one these things is surprisingly good. Great for traveling

Downsides:
- Needs to be charged :)
- Does not replace your computer - you will probably need both
- Pricy - let's be honest, this is not something that is essential.

P.S.: I do not have a Deep Focus context. This is, during work, when I leave the computer and sit at a table or on the couch to work.
