When I did paper this is how my project list and @phone context would look. List of projects. And the very next action on my @phone list. This is an example. But you can see I have "settle Mom's estate" on projects. And then a bunch of other random projects. Then I have the very next action "Call attorney who has mom's will" It's on the @phone list because I can only make calls on the phone. You will have a bunch of other @phone next actions for other projects like I do. That's how you move the project to completion. One step at a time. As I said this is an example so projects and next actions are random. If you are doing paper, You would have a page for each context. When you are done with the next action, cross it out. When you get done with the project, cross it out.
Look my GTD is super simple. Most people go thats it? Yes it is.

@fooddude

First and foremost, sympathetic condolences for the passing of your good mother who clearly raised a very good son

For those who who work through computer screens all day, this a very elegant example how GTD through paper can offer an healthier eyes alternative to seemingly "digital 24/7" . . . sorry Gatsey and Zuckie

Good job . . . undoubtedly your very good late mother would be quite proud of her very good son

Thank you very much

*scanned over the two images first*
You show two pictures, jpegs - with a type of preconceived erm what's the word looking for "a template "
List of projects. And the very next action on my @phone list.
right?
This is an example. But you can see I have "settle Mom's estate" on projects.
the image isn't best visible on my screen?
And then a bunch of other random projects. Then I have the very next action "Call attorney who has mom's will"
*your saying on the right of the screen?
It's on the @phone list because I can only make calls on the phone.

You will have a bunch of other @phone next actions
But I rarely use my phone for calls?
for other projects like I do. That's how you move the project to completion.
right
One step at a time. As I said this is an example so projects and next actions are random.
What do you mean ? what about priotization typo - prioritization ?
If you are doing paper, You would have a page for each context.
1 page?
When you are done with the next action, cross it out. When you get done with the project, cross it out.
oh right? then what

Sorry about that that I thought it was obvious...
The white tab under people can be for waiting for lists
On the cover there is a summary about my important subjects.
NB As I use a software (Omnifocus for now) for GTD the first group of tabs (=inbox, projects, next action, people, waiting for list, and reference is not in my binder. My binder is exclusively for reference material, exactly like bill gates does...
Anyway if I would decide to go back to a paper system and get rid of any software, I could use this tabs and be operational in only one weekly review...

I am not the best at visualizing things from writing (I really wouldn't have been able to visualized what you mean without this picture?) .

Right - the image you attached here helps
' I have an idea- you probably got the type product card coloured shown in picture online?

your on a higher level more organized than myself.

P.S. I would say that my binder ,right now- maybe is 1/10th or 1/5th to the level of completeness (as you show in this picture), V -says show picture if you reply

Right now - I'm looking at picture- see actually you have the cards/papers not attached to the middle metal binder, why is that?

"In this list you shared here (it is not in the same order
as the image (I replied to in last post in this thread) - I wonder what was the reason for that?

Or could it be better - if I did my paper dividers following the order as this first list do you think?

or @fooddude just in case "

"white tab under people can be for waiting for lists"
why did you write you put" waiting for lists" as a header - instead of tickler (which you wrote in your first list example to me you shared literally as an example to put after people) I wonder? "

So I imagine - I could just maybe write over it in future - if ever using binders again? SV

Q dimension - all the binders in my room right now seem similar size

or worth I tag others - if not sure focus guy going be available to respond"

That’s it !
Add SMB (someday may be), for the next tab
use the lasts tabs for reference material
You could make one tab for A B C D E, F
The other for G H …,
And so on…
Review regularly, make ajustements, update, eliminate

Will work like a charm !

right OK - but you had white label shown on more than just the next tabs?

actually came back now - why do you write above

"Add SMB (someday may be) " with the acryonm SMB , wouldn't it be just S M for someday maybe, wasn't it ins the asana guide its just titled "someday/maybe" list like that

from the previous day - I left out three next labelled sticky label tabs (to add on like the next day (whilst I was looking at your previous picture, with the next label "people"
(cos -where I above wrote not completely sure why you did it in that set up or order?-so I paused)

So I paused

"am I just overthinking this then
writing to you here?

And I should , or could try put more time effort energy - into mass setting up this binder file ?

is it worth I put all my attention on it literally says voice

people is agenda's list. for all conversation you have with them. IF you have someone with a lot of subject (Like a boss) use a single sheet of paper. Tickler is after sheet novembre, December, 2025... Reference = alphabetical sheets. If you have few it goes into the binder, if a lot another binder (some prefer a paper folder per subject into a box or a drawer)

Then that's OK you have your basic system. now just do it. Use it and see how it works.

Respect GTD Rules : the 5 steps and just do it as says Nike !

people is agenda's list
your writing as if you have a "hinch" or set up saying "agenda's list" - just like type of set up that I got from the asana guide (which showed print screen image of ) - do you understand?
. for all conversation you have with them. IF you have someone with a lot of subject (Like a boss) use a single sheet of paper.
I don't have much conversation in real life cos of my disorder
Tickler is after sheet novembre, December, 2025...
was this sentence a type error?
Reference = alphabetical sheets.
"reference lists was also something mentioned in asana guide
If you have few it goes into the binder, if a lot another binder (some prefer a paper folder per subject into a box or a drawer)
yes you must be writing typing quickly- should have written here " if you have a lot use another binder) "some prefer a paper folder per subject into a box or a drawer)" your suggesting to put binder paper folders into boxes or drawers - yes that could work for me , thx for suggestion - isn't that also what @Mrs-Polifax was writing about in your linked hyper linked thread? "
Then that's OK you have your basic system. now just do it. Use it and see how it works.

the five steps?
Just do it - Nike , is a company logo saying , erm - is nike in USA probably? why would you write a shoe brand?

Right - thx for further guidance here

I mean I should be appreciative of extra replies your sharing with me here

-after you wrote in one post reply last week -saying that your limited on time for some reason

"Then that's OK you have your basic system. now just do it. Use it and see how it works." - I feel like you don't understand my weak areas of understanding says voice "
