Writing to Food dude @fooddude

Words in head ' stuff like myself Tim personally - have background thoughts that focus guy @FocusGuy is a more of a 'intelligent user maybe
Than food dude maybe?

Were those the right words? * in higihn sight this was the wrong language for myself to be using (myself tim have been called unintelligent , or stupid in real life, I have symptoms of Schizophrenia, you want to know reason for writing this now?)

Or ' when communicating with other users over the internet - I start to have preferences for certain ones
(with my personal symptoms of physhtic (typo) distress, neuroglical (typo) disorder) As if I have some analogy in my head - if there was a perfect one user I could select it would solve all my human problems? - you understand

With some representation

Or back *1 like - I'm just , not completely sure had it in past wrote something is "food dude" user name actually suppose to be related to eating an un natural conventual modern diet- did he see that I could check with that

What - like the inviduuals (individual) tasks you are saying
and the projects list should - title or list what exactly ?

unless I were to write it out
It's just that projects are a list of tasks you must complete that have two or more next actions. The contexts are the very next actions for a project from your project list. (Basic GTD concept.) The picture looks like it is a project not a next action. But I cant see it that clearly. That's all.

May be...

Yes I red ZTD it is A GTD Lighter the main principles are the same except that ZTD has 2 specific added steps
- One is to plan stuff with the TPS and TPJ (in French) - great for people who like planning...
- The other is find your passion : This is the most important advice I guess.

I liked to read both. Both are interesting but David as the founder of the method is the main source. However I found ZTD interesting for the planning part and the simplification of the system. ZTD was much more simple to understand than GTD. 10 principles. Easy to read. One habit for a month... Fast and easy.

To be honest at the beginning GTD can seems complex. There are a lot of stuff in GTD and it looks me time to understand each one step by step.

I think GTD method is a diamond. Once acquired it resists to anything. When I am lost I always go back to GTD. It is my reference material and GTD goes much deeper in the system with the horizons and so on...

This is only my point of view. I will never give any advice to any one about doing or not doing. Every one is different.
from my memory

one of things you wrote in past - is put the reference paper ticler
to 3 sections A to Z

there are 26 letters overall - so

26/3 makes 8.6 - so I should put as 9 the first one and so forth

9, then 18, till end 26 -does that make most sense?

abcdejghi 1st

jklmnopqr
so in example

R for reminders would go in second section right? "

what's the difference between task and next action
The picture looks like it is a project
right just like a title your saying is the project list - (like a picture?)
not a next action. But I cant see it that clearly. That's all.
Right?

erm - why hasn't X responded - to my info's sharing about format of the paper binder sheets, would you be willing @fooddude ?

1
right you would define it as that "must complete that have two or more next actions." - you would say exactly two or more ? then its worth I copy this out duplicate it says V

All the @ contexts are very next actions for projects from your project list. I can't tell if what you have on the list is a next action or a project.

I see that this thread - seems to been left out (hasn't been posted for a while) - so had idea its worth I bump it (with users which shared such as @Gtds - I mean @FocusGuy ) , try bring more awareness"

"Holistic ideas

Maybe post on Allens forum - about problems felt like personally encountered since starting trying to use paper binder system

With specific examples

-I still have a - what I feel like is a bunch of 'clutter or data on my laptop of previous lists.

'at times im unsure whether ' I've actually cached or written down X action - and may result myself to re writing it - is this actually a bad thing - or actually takes to a point (that by doing - so its something which should be prioritised)

13 16- thinking further review so far - I would rate my experience maybe 2/5 using binder so far

Because issues had : with formatting the pages

Empty things, things literally left uncomplete (such as reference files

Or 3) not consistency using the sections @ Next actions or @projects (whilst - also doing tasks on laptop

What else? Could up load this as additional post reply - where last seen'

R words - have specific idea - solution to problem of retention - is I upload digital content , of myself creating things and sort myself out digitally

it occurred to myself - that I don't understand the "errands" next action in a binder system

I had more than one question here

and - occurred to myself I can post this actually to where the user wrote to

believe it was food

either F D or C ? @fooddude or @cfoley

erm in thread - where was writing about binder system with focus guy

question reads - why do I have words that I read somewhere a 'tip' - Errands - when communiting (communiting) - make a list - so that you 'save time ' get multiple things on your journey
where could give an example of my mother , or self even - where go shopping cycling - just only for the sake of food and nothing else

Or this is what my "errands " next action page still looks like - since made it -

it occurred to myself - that I don't understand the "errands" next action in a binder system
@fooddude or @cfoley - Q which one user was it who wrote to myself in the past - about making a system paper binder - with style pages picture above?
1731410506932.png

or for example - is there anything wrong with example what I did yesterday: in afternoon got e-mail from amazon that parcel was delivered at a local post office - I then went (a single walking maybe 25 min walk) and got the parcel - anything wrong with that?

#confusion

No there is nothing wrong with it. I do stuff like that all the time.

The purpose of the errands list is to help you plan in advance and to help you remember in the moment. So maybe you could plan which errands to do before leaving the house, or check the list when out and about to see if you can complete something else while in a particular location.

#confusion
I just posted this yesterday when someone asked what is the difference between errands and store. Hope this helps.

@errands are all out and about errands. It could be Post office mail packages, Pick up dry cleaning, and even go to Lowes or Walmart. I have the @store for when I'm at a store I can look at list and pick up the item there, if it can be purchased at that store. For example, I can pick up fix a flat at the auto store or Walmart maybe even the grocery store. Yes sometimes they overlap but not often enough to change. In errands i can make a quick note "Lowes" and know to look at store list when I'm there. I don't have to have an @Lowes, @Walmart, @Home Depot @Auto Zone @Kohl's etc. I do Have a Grocery checklist just because I compile that during the week and it is easier than re typing it every time. This keeps it as simple as possible. About 4 years ago I realized my system had grown to be unmanageable. I was working the system more than actually getting things done. So I went back and did just the basics and I guard it closely.

Oh right - thanks for clarifying this?

Well my only errands would be shopping?
makes me think - 've actually created made similar lists, tried made digital version of shopping list else where - are you saying I should put this in my paper binder
, or check the list when out and about to see if you can complete something else while in a particular location.
That - im not sure that happens for myself "

right I do that
Pick up dry cleaning
I never go to dry cleaning

never go to those stores being in UK

I mainly go to one same food store - and get the same stuff at the top off my head "

It is really whatever suits your lifestyle. Most of my lists are on paper, because that suits me for most things. My errands list, on the other hand, is in the cloud so that I can check it on my phone when I am out and about. There isn't a right or a wrong answer here. It is just whatever works for you. I suggest picking one thing, try it out for a month and see how you get on.

What is the best way to keep track of your lists on paper or in the cloud and how can you decide which one works best for you?

If the goal is to be as digital as possible, then the answer is to use digital tools. If I may be so bold, I would suggest a bolder goal such as living the most fulfilling life as possible. You seem to be having success with your paper binder at the moment. I would urge you to enjoy your paper binder instead of looking for yet another tool.
